The 2015 Ford F-150 is truly one of a kind. With a new military-grade aluminum body, it's not only stronger and more fuel-efficient than ever before, but it's also more resistant to dents and scratches. When it comes to light duty pickups, look to Canada's best-selling truck for the past half century.
Do you need to completely compromise on fuel economy and change your entire outlook on life in order to drive an SUV? No way! Thanks to Ford's turbocharged EcoBoost engine, you'll be able to get plenty of power from this light, 2.0L engine, as much power as some tuners spend years and countless paycheques investing into their little coupe racers. At 43 miles per gallon out on Saskatchewan highways, your visits to the gas station will become rarer and rarer. Add the comforts of a high ride height, the safety of collision prevention technology, and an exhilarating Ford Edge Sport model, all in one affordable package. You'll see why the Ford Edge specs make this crossover SUV a must-see in your new vehicle checklist.
All 2015 Ford Escape engines have four cylinders, but which one of the three you choose is up to you. The base engine is a 2.5L that does 168 horsepower and nearly equal torque, but is only available in a front-wheel drive powertrain. Opt for any of the EcoBoost engines and you'll open up all-wheel drive capability. This starts with the 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder that comes with the SE trim and above. It musters 178 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. That's not bad, but it may just be around to make the optional 2.0L EcoBoost even more appealing, leaving those numbers in the dust at 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. This is a special signing bonus, so good you'll have to step back to admire all the options.
