The Ranger is available in two cab formats, with a two-door SuperCab and a four-door SuperCrew. Both options are built to a classic pickup design, although the front end of this Ford is a little less imposing than its bigger brothers, giving it a modern, streamlined look.

For a mid-size truck, the Ranger's powertrain packs a hefty punch. The 2.3L turbo I-4 engine makes 270 horsepower and 310lb-ft of torque passed through a silky 10-speed automatic transmission to either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The result is punchy and capable performance, especially with the optional Terrain Management System which automatically optimizes traction and transmission gearing for a smooth and assured drive in all conditions.

Infotainment

At the entry-level, the XL trim offers a no-nonsense cabin experience with no cash wasted on advanced infotainment. But move up to the higher trims, and the Ranger is as well equipped as any family SUV, with an 8" touchscreen giving access to navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot facility, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
