4 Reasons to Buy the 2020 Ford EcoSport

4 Reasons to Buy the 2020 Ford EcoSport

2020 Ford EcoSport Review

The 2020 Ford EcoSport is a subcompact crossover SUV with an emphasis on convenience and economy rather than searing performance. Could it be the right model for you? Read these reasons below.

        1. Choice of Powertrains

The EcoSport offers flexibility when it comes to engine choice. If you're looking for an economical option for daily short distances, then the standard 1.0L 3-cylinder engine with its 123 horsepower offers a no-nonsense solution.

However, trading up to the 2.0L 4-cylinder option provides a much more capable 166 horsepower, ideal for if your regular driving includes stretches on the highway.

Interestingly, with the larger engine, the EcoSport can also tow up to 907kg, which is unusual in the subcompact market.

      2. Infotainment and FordPass Connect

One of the highlights of the 2020 EcoSport is the inclusion of advanced infotainment functions across the range. An 8" touchscreen is standard, and Ford have also bundled their FordPass Connect technology with every EcoSport model. This system includes features such as a 10-device Wi-Fi hotspot, remote vehicle management via smartphone, enhanced roadside assistance, and much more.

FordPass Connect was until recently a subscription-only option, but buyers of the 2020 EcoSport can access all of its features for free.

      3. Good Selection of Features on Higher Trims

It's fair to say that apart from infotainment, the entry-level EcoSport S is firmly on the no-frills side. However, trims from the SE upward provide a much better selection of features, without raising the cost too drastically.

Examples include heated front seats, passive entry and push-button start, rear parking sensors, a sunroof, and more. The EcoSport will never earn a place in the A-list luxury class, but for daily driving, it's comfortably well equipped.

     4. Fun to Drive in the City

Lastly, the EcoSport offers a fun experience when driven under city conditions. It's compact and maneuverable, with plenty of zest when navigating crowded streets. Pulling away from stoplights won't be a problem, while parking is a cinch thanks to its sensors, compact frame, and responsive steering.
