The Ford Ranger has long been known as a tough and rugged pickup truck that has a spacious interior and a stylish exterior. Even though the Ranger has become one of Ford's most popular pickup trucks over the past few years, the American automotive manufacturing giants have decided to add a new package to the Ranger to make it even more impressive than ever before. The new available Tremor Off-Road package transforms the Ranger into an adventurous off-roading machine. Here is a look at some of the exciting new features that come with the Tremor Off-Road package.
Rugged Exterior
The new Tremor package turns the Ranger into one of the most capable off-road vehicles in its class. It achieves this by lifting the suspension and adding 32-inch Continental General Grabber A/TX all-terrain tires that are mounted on stylish 17-inch Magnetic-painted wheels and Fox 2.0 monotube dampers that raises the truck 0.8 inches, giving it a total of 9.7-inches of ground clearance.
The Tremor also gets a new aggressive-looking front grille that features Magnetic painting and bold black bars that run across the red nostril accents. There is also bold badging on either side of the cargo box.
Versatile Performance Features
The Tremor gets a more aggressive off-road system including new front and rear spring suspension. The new off-road metrics create a 30.9-degree approach angle and a 25.5-degree departure angle. This impressive package also comes with heavy-duty skid plates, electronically locking differentials, and front and rear recovery hooks.
For drivers who want to add their own accessories to the truck, like winches or air compressors, there is also a six-switch auxiliary power bank that is conveniently located on the front dash and allows the driver to easily control additional accessories.
Impressive Power and Towing
The Tremor keeps the standard 2.3-litre 4-cylinder engine that is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and delivers 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. With this powerful engine, the truck is able to tow up to 7,500 pounds. This exciting off-road package can be added to the new Ranger Lariat and the XLT SuperCrew 4x4 trims.
